Why don't we just ask for donations?
A couple of reasons. First, quite simply put not everyone has the same financial resources. Second, fundraising can be a great learning experience for your child. By working with your child to fundraise, you show them your personal commitment and value of education and community. You teach them the importance of working towards a goal to benefit community and school.
We strongly believe that parental involvement is an important cornerstone in academic performance. In fact, studies prove this! Your child will follow your lead, and, if you show them that school, learning, community, teamwork, and respect are not only important, but expected, you will see results!
If you really don't want to fundraise, and would rather donate money to help support the school, we welcome your donations made out to the Lamping PTA.
