The basic colors of khaki, navy, and white will be required at all Standard Student Attire schools. All items of clothing must be in solid colors only with no pattern, no words, and no brands logos. Lamping Elementary School will have yellow as optional solid color for all items of clothing. Additional stricter guidelines for Lamping Elementary School are: sequins, studs, aprkles, beads, rhinestones, embroidery, and other similar embellishments are not allowed because they are a “pattern” and not a solid colored item of clothing.
Under Regulation 5131(V)(D), “the school logo may only include the school name and/or school mascot. No other names or symbols related to school athletic teams, school clubs/activities, charitable organizations, or similar groups/organizations should be on the clothing.”
In addition, “colors and styles of outerwear, such as jackets and coats, are not required to meet the color/style specifications of Standard Student Attire.” Pullover hoodies or zippered sweatshirts (with or without a hood) are considered outerwear and do not need to comply with Standard Student Attire.
Other questions you may have can be answered by Robert Solomon, the Principal of Lamping Elementary. We appreciate parents’ support of this mandatory Standard Student Attire policy.
Assistance is available in providing uniform clothing to your child(ren). If you have any questions or concerns, please contact a school administrator at (702)799-1330.
You can order all garments listed above with the Lamping Logo from Campus Club Uniforms. Throughout the year, Campus Club will provide free delivery to the front office of Lamping Elementary School for any order placed over the phone or fax. To order by phone, call 360-0555 or to order by fax, dial 242-2595. Logo items are not required, however. Solid color shirts can be purchased at local stores like Target, K-Mart, Penny’s, Kohls, etc.
If a student is not dressed in standard student attire, they will first be sent to the Health Office, reminded of our Standard Student Attire Policy and be asked to comply. A phone conference will be conducted with parents and students will be provided with the opportunity to change into the proper clothing, either by clothing brought from home or with gently used clothing that the student can borrow, wash and bring back the next day. The second time a child comes to school not dressed in standard student attire a Request for Parent Conference will be scheduled to review the CCSD mandatory Standard Student Attire Policy for Lamping ES. If a child continues to come to school not dressed in standard student attire after a Request fro Parent Conference a Required Parent Conference (RPC) will be scheduled with the parent, student and school administration to resolve any problems or provide assistance as needed.
A note to parent volunteers: As adults, it is very important that we model the School-wide Expectations and dress code expected of staff and students. Parent volunteers are asked to follow the same CCSD Basic Guidelines listed above. Thank you for your cooperation.
