About the PTA

About the PTA

The PTA is much more than fundraising for school events, classroom supplies, and teacher appreciation.  We are working to provide a sense of community and family involvement within the school.

When you are involved, your child is involved and can feel pride, ownership, participation, and community in his or her school.  Stress the importance of education and community by joining the PTA and participating in events throughout the year.

It is our goal to enhance the educational experience at Lamping in any way we can.  We thank you for being involved and helping to make all of this possible!

The Lamping PTA (Parent Teacher Association) invites you to join with us to make a difference in the education, health and welfare of our children.  All parents want to do what is best for children and Lamping PTA can help you do that! We all know that children learn more and have better lives when parents, teachers, administrators and the community work together to share thoughts, and ideas on programs and projects that benefit children.

Lamping PTA provides funds and support for many programs at your child’s school, including:

We welcome all family members to volunteer/participate in PTA events, however, becoming a member does not obligate you in any way to attend or assist with these functions. The more members we have, the stronger voice we have to advocate for our children!

Membership dues are just $10 – a small price that helps Lamping  Elementary make a positive impact on your child’s life and education. The Lamping PTA wants to include all parents, both Moms and Dads, Step-parents, Grandparents, Teachers, Aunts and Uncles and have its membership reflect the rich cultural diversity present at Lamping Elementary. Our Goal is to have 100% membership every year!

Not convinced to join yet?

Remember, membership does not commit you to volunteering. While we hope everyone will join the PTA, we certainly understand not everyone can volunteer regularly or attend all of our meetings. Your annual PTA membership helps us provide great programs, events and meet school goals. Membership also gives another voice that helps advocate for children’s issues nationwide.
